Blending his own personal and contemporary experiences with the sonorities of a century-old music genre that has experienced a revival in the past few years notably thanks to TikTok, Pedro Mizutani offers a fresh insight into what Bossa Nova is today and what it might sound like in the future.

Pedro Mizutani has decided to combine those influences with his personal experiences as a young adult to narrate the beauty and complexity of friendship, love, summer flings, of being young and of Brazil. He now presents his very first EP ‘Aperana’. In his own words, ‘the intention of this EP is to capture all of that: Leblon, my 20s, the shame, the friends, the fear, the lovers, the wind, Sambaíba and Aperana. A little slice of what life is.

Before releasing an acoustic version of ‘Aperana’ he decided to deliver a remix version of several tracks from the project in collaboration with Tour-Maubourg, Patchworks, Jex Opolis FloFilz and Okvsho sending his compositions to the dance floor as well as to the ears of jazz, lofi and bossa nova fans.
