Andrin Stettler doesn’t like to be asked about himself. “Just listen to the music”, he replies, “it will tell you everything you have to know”. The multi-instrumentalist and producer living in Switzerland started his band Den Dala in 2019 and it’s his baby. Back then he began to record in his bedroom, out of an inner urge. Combining jazzy guitar chords with groovy drum beats he soon created a very distinctive and international sound. After releasing his first EP “Vegetarian Get Together” he is now ready to share his work of the last year: The album “Fake Trees”. It has been a very intense process, where Andrin Stettler took his time to achieve his vision. He is doing most of the creative steps by himself because he doesn’t like to make any compromises. While recording the only people joining him at some point were his drummer, his pianist and a percussionist. This way he was able to create a very honest and original Album. The songs capture the moods of our everyday life. Andrin Stettler ends up singing about love and living in the moment. This is what was in his mind while writing the songs, love for other people and love for music. His dreamy vocals are in his mother tongue Swiss German as well as in English. He doesn’t care about all that. And of course, besides the vocal songs you won’t miss the smooth instrumental tracks like “Carefree” or “Tshords” on this album.
