London-based producer and songwriter T. Evann (real name Tyler Darrington) is today sharing a new EP, 'Pocus'. Serving up a collection of breezy psychedelic pop experiments penned over lockdown, the new EP arrives following last year’s ‘Headblush’ EP and a number of standalone singles which have seen T. Evann clock up support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, COLORS, Dummy Mag, Clash Magazine and more.

On the ‘Pocus’ EP, the Norwich-born artist adds: “The trickery of the mind sometimes needs to be tamed. ‘Pocus’ addresses the deceptive human consciousness and how we sometimes decide to incorrectly address it. These songs were written through early 2021. As London went back into lockdown, I began writing lyrics that discuss particular problems that a lot of us are going through at the moment: bouts of insomnia, paranoia and intoxication.” Musically, the EP ranges from dreamy cuts like ‘Falling By The Wayside’), sunsoaked indie-folk (‘Ten Pound Notes’) and blissfully laidback psychedelia (‘Pointing The Finger ft. Oscar Lang), by way of weirdo-blues jams (‘Pocus’) and spoken-word curveballs (Darrington recruiting his housemate Brian Collins to co-write and provide vocals on ‘Magdalene’ one lockdown evening.)
