Tutankhamun is the solo-project of British musician and songwriter Olly Toomey. He will soon release his first release, following influences from the 60’s and 70’s. His single ‘Big Foot’ is about feeling out of control and the abandon that comes with that. The riff, upbeat and soulful offers a reassuring contrast that will invite the listener in the artist’s universe made of jazzy basslines and enveloping choruses.
lyrics
Big Foot you’re creeping up to me
So close that I can see
There’s nowhere left to hide
Big Foot why do you come to me
Take hold like a disease
Lucifer in disguise
I asked you to leave me here, to leave me clear
But it’s in my eyes
In my blood
Always something in between
Tried to run
I Tried to hide
Always something in between
Big Foot you’re hands are all I feel
I’m moving down to kneel
Surrender at your side
Big Foot my mind is your’s to peel
You’re the only thing that’s real
You’re gunna win this fight
I asked you to leave me here, to leave me clear
But it’s in my eyes
In my blood
Always something in between
Tried to run
I Tried to hide
Always something in between
A truly stunning album that mentally transports you to foggy early morning streets, the pavement wet from recent rains. Dreary, but in a comforting way. Like sitting next to a window during a rainstorm, listening to the drops hit the glass while remaining warm. Never fails to make me feel safe. Crow Yo
