Hi-fi DIY, the duo is often described as two hooligan folk rockers who stand opposed to brunch culture. Daniel Belgrad is a Korean American who mistrusts penguins due to their tendency to perform acts of radical violence. Joining him is the elusive Michael Lituchy, a Taurus who secretly writes songs in the twilight while raising cattle in remote Connecticut.
Mall of America is a song about Danny seeing doctors in Minnesota, and visiting the Mall of America, which is kind of underwhelming but nice if you like malls.
It's also about nightmares, irrational love and a generally longing for midwestern consumer habits.

Lyrics
You left it all
In Minnesota for me
Hiding between the covers
If only you saw what I see
The time has come
But nobody's asking for me
You only see the bad shit
And I only see what I want
I only see what I want
I'm made out of stone
Afraid I'm alone
I thought I had somebody
I wish it was you
Away that she flew
Over and out
I'm made out of stone
Forever alone
I thought had somebody
