Attempting to fulfill the human desire of exploration through Isolation and Pandemic.
Television Sets was written within Lockdown and tells the true story about an elderly couple who were supposed to go on a cruise. Due to the pandemic, they set up deck chairs in their living room and watched cruises on TV instead. This bitter-sweet story is both concerning yet satisfying. A song had to be made about it.
lyrics
I know something on its coming after
We might like it quite more than you know
And ooo it's almost like the real thing
Deep inside this head, I’m falling through
And ooo view all the different oceans
This could be better than the real thing
Suddenly it hit me through a different ball of flame
You left the door wide open
Suddenly it feels like we were just on holiday
With your television sets
Views from the pool it's a sunny day
Visions through my head like I’m sitting Spain
And ooo roll my head up in a carpet
No need to go out I’ve got the real thing
Suddenly it hit me through a different ball of flame
You left the door wide open
Suddenly it feels like we were just on holiday
With your television sets
ooooo baby
your eyes are glued on my television
ooooo baby
your eyes
Suddenly it hit me through a different ball of flame
You left the door wide open
Suddenly it feels like we were just on holiday
With your television sets.
